Figure 76: Color Mode
The nuvi 1390T can automatically switch to "Night" mode at sunset, darkening the screen brightness and adjusting the color scheme to better fit nighttime driving.
You can also manually force Daytime or Nighttime via the Color Mode menu.

The Nighttime map keeps the same layout and controls, but adjusts the brightness and colors used to be more pleasing on the eye when traveling at night.

Switching color modes adjusts the colors and brightness of all menu screens, not just the map.

As with other nuvi models, the 1390T retains the ability to input a set of longitude/latitude coordinates as a destination address.
This capability can be useful for locations may not have an official street address, or used for basic Geocaching as well.
To route to a set of coordinates, tap Where to? on the Main Menu, and then scroll down to see the Coordinates icon.

Figure 80: Enter Coordinates
The coordinates are pre-populated with the lat/long of your current location. Use the on-screen keypad to input the longitude and latitude coordinates, or touch Format to change coordinates formats.

The nuvi 1390T supports the three Lat/Long coordinate formats shown above.

Figure 82: Map Screen
Tapping the vehicle icon on the map brings up Garmin's updated "Where Am I" screen, shown below. This is a great feature that provides one-touch access to your current street address (or closest valid street address), nearest intersection, and exact coordinates, and makes it easy to save your current location into the address book.

Garmin's well designed location screen also provides one-touch access to find nearby hospitals, police stations, and gas stations.
Tapping Save Location Saving your current location adds the current position to the nuvi's Address Book, and allows you to assign a name to the location.

The Where Am I page can also be accessed by tapping Main Menu > Tools > Where Am I?
